Outreach Log
Where we've shed
a little light.
Every session, every sky-quality walk, every late-night telescope queue — a running log of the rooms, parks and planetaria where Starlight has brought back the night.
Shedding Light on Light Pollution — Vol. 1
Our flagship outreach session on light pollution's effects on human health, wildlife and the night sky — with a guided skywatching segment for first-time astronomers.
Shedding Light on Light Pollution — Vol. 2
A deep-dive astrophysics talk for budding astronomers — from stellar nurseries to supernovae and the heavy elements that built us.
Citizen Science Sky-Quality Walk
A hands-on evening walk logging sky brightness readings across the city for the Globe at Night project. Participants learned to read the Bortle scale and submit their own observations.
Skywatching for Beginners
An open-to-all stargazing night for ages 5 to 50 — Moon, Jupiter and Saturn through the eyepiece, plus a primer on astrophotography for beginners.
Want us at your school, club or city?
We travel for sessions, sky walks and citizen-science nights. If you have a venue and an audience, we'll bring the telescopes.
